Checkmate Display

Random Notes while testing my brand new old skool Checkmate Display (a 19" 1280x1024 IPS display with several 'old' inputs)
- AppleTV 4K: Set to 720p SDR because 1280x1024 gave a stretched image. Apparently the AppleTV has several resolutions but always expects 16:9 display. Alternatively, leave scaling to the display by setting it to 1280x1024@60 and then you can set 16:9 on the monitor to squeeze the image back to a good aspect ratio.
- Sony DVP-SR760H: Cheap, light and small DVD player with HDMI output. Scales nicely and audio is good
- C64 Reloaded Mk.2: SVideo via SVideo cable to Appy's Retro Scaler. Input HDMI6 (I have the multiple HDMI add-on). In monitor menu aspect ratio Point to Point
Composite via A/V Breakout adapter works fine ([1])
Issues
- Audio not working: at first, I got no audio (speaker sound), until I partly plugged in a headphone into the front jack. Some kind of auto-detect that kicked in?
